On March 19, 2013, I came across the web site: hostingdude.com for the first time. I have never been to this web site before! hostingdude.com advertises on their web site that I can transfer a domain name to them for $1.99. Under their rules and guidelines, I must be a new customer. So, I mentioned which domain I would like to transfer to them and I created an account; however, as soon as I clicked on their $1.99 offer, they bait-and-switched me and now say the price is $8.99.
I brought this to the Better Business Bureau's attention and Samantha (from webhostingdude.com) wrote back being very nasty and accusing me of being a competitor out to sabotage them. Samantha got really defensive, defiant, and attack me (a prospect customer).
webhostingdude.com engages in false advertisement with their terms and conditions. The bait-and-switch you! Very nasty customer service. Stay away from this company!
